Okay - I have always thought that blogs were the part of the ultimate ego trip - along with Twitter and Facebook, etc. But as I read others' blogs and experience life, there are comments I feel like making - this will be their repository.
Who am I? Well I'm a forty-something engineer/scientist/director/program manager (the hat changes regularly) for a major semiconductor operation in the US - that's my tentmaker job, but not my identity. (strange how we start with our job to tell people who we are.) I am a father of three - although my son left us at age four after fighting cancer for two years. My two daughters are, of course, brilliant and beautiful (no bais showing there.) they are competitive swimmers which means that they have practice either very early in the morning or very late at night. (Sleep is optional in our house.) I am the husband of a beautiful, sassy, and loving wife. I also play rhythm guitar and sometimes lead worship in our church worship team. It is a blessing to play with outstndingly talent musicians that regularly reflect what God can do through a talent, practiced artist.
Why am I blogging? I'm still not certain. I am hoping that my life experiences - loss of family members & friends, betrayals, as well as joy & success that might be helpful to those who struggle with being ordinary like me. Another place that I deal with is the balance between being a scientist and a Christian. There is a balance between these seemingly conflicting philosophies of life and I have to address it daily. Maybe my experiences will help you process.
Well, here goes...
